Mahomes rise through the pantheon of all-time quarterbacks wouldn’t bother me if the media wasn’t so disrespectful about it.
If he beats the Eagles, I’ll legitimately rank him above Montana. To be honest, I don’t really know why. I think the NFL is considerably weaker than it was 10, 20, 30, 40 years ago, so there’s that. Three in a row, 17 play off wins, and a Dynasty second only to the reign of New England, will solidify him as utterly separate from everyone in league history but one.
But ultimately, a three-peat isn’t a bonus ring, or two, or three. It’s just a feather in the hat, like Brady winning with a different team. It’s not worth 7 rings and twice the reign of terrifying the league.
Also the Chiefs probably don’t even terrify because their aura is absolutely weaker.

I miss when there were absolute fucking powerhouse teams in the NFL. Chiefs with a 15-1 run at +40 point differential. Patriots were finishing most years with a +150-200 differential which is dominance and why you can’t cite unfair officiating.
I don’t know what the fuck the Chiefs are actually doing for such a statistical impossibility to happen. They’re basically just an upper middle class team that’s gotten the 50/50 critical calls and made the critical plays at like a 99% rate. But I’ll give them credit that they never show up and play badly. They're consistent and always bring their A- / B+ game.
