Belichick agrees to become Head Coach of UNC

Now I just want Bill to write an uncensored book about his time in the NFL. Bury some of the biggest pussies in the NFL, starting with Goodell. Even if he gets a real writer to ghost write it while he provides the stories.

I'd volunteer to do it for free.

Maybe that whole process with the falcons is part of what the final straw was for him with the NFL?
Maybe. Or more that no other teams were interested. Bill burnt a lot of bridges in the NFL during this tenure.

If the rumors about his 400 page bible are true, he won't have to worry about a lot of the things college coaches typically deal with.
What are the Cliff’s Notes version of this one?

The commitment/decommitment season just got a lot more interesting. I’m not sure why on God’s green earth he would take this job since NFL openings are coming, but I think he will be successful.

bb mentions "more time in pads more time to work on fundamentals" in college.
interesting. pro game has degraded massively due to this. i've always thought the 2011 cba must have worked his nerves.

Players continue to "win" on the wrong things, things which are often bad for the sport (fewer practices, less time in pads, etc...) and lose on the things that are actually important (money share, number of games, power over speech and non-football actions). And the coaches, who know that the players need more time for practice, contact, etc... are a third party that gets stuck with the ramifications.

LOL What a bunch of spin coming from BB now. Wasn't he just interviewing for the Falcons last offseason? How much did the NFL change in 1 year? More like no team wanted him so he went to college.

There's definitely spin here, but this really seems like someone who just decided that plan B was a certainty while plan A was a question mark, and thus accepted plan B as the way to go.

He set up a 400 page blueprint of his plans to run the show. He's going to have, basically, 2 separate staffs (one for on the field, on for the rest), essentially considering the NIL/transfers/recruiting as a separate league. He outlined money requirements, got the school to agree to a NIL budget 5 times what it had been, etc...

Sure but why disparage the NFL in the process? Make it seem like they sucked so he wanted out when in reality no one was offering him a job.

FYI he was asked about the 400 page manifesto in his press conference today and he just laughed and said there was no such thing and he has no idea where that came from

I'm afraid to ask, but where is this coming from?

Ok, maybe it was 399 pages and people rounded up.
