General chit chat and shit talk.

Well depends on what weather you looking for I would think
I really liked Oregon last place I've been to
Weather doesn't matter. We love the outdoors freezing or not. Obviously do not want to go somewhere where there us a current weather disaster , but other than that all game.

How long a stay, and what are you looking for in your visit?

Louisiana a/k/a New Orleans is a blast for a short stay in the city, though you'd be missing the Mardi Gras insanity (which I love), but I've not seen enough of the rest of the state to help with that.

New Hampshire has great outdoors stuff and isn't a crazy-long ride down to Boston if you want to get some city life.

Wrong season, IMO, for South Carolina.

New York used to be great for a trip to the falls and a couple of days in NYC, but I wouldn't stay in NYC on a bet nowadays, though YMMV.
We are planning for 10 days and mainly looking for a mixture of city life and outdoors. Some historic stuff is always interesting to us as well

Will definitely look to your suggestions, thank you. Got to do some research now

If you don't mind driving a bit, you might want to view New England, or just eastern New England, as one state. If you stay in a place central to all the sort of stuff you like, you don't have to be limited to any one state since they're so small.

Dune 2 is really good. I've been scrolling around to see what to watch as well. Been in a bit of a rut lately

I hated the changes the director made to the book story. I didn't think any of them added anything posititve, and most were net negatives, IMO.

I decided to join the Halloween spirit and eat a few candy bars.

I was forewarned that Butterfinger changed its formula for the worse, and it was much worse. The candy bar is much less flaky and crispy. It has this smooth consistency and the flavor is more understated. While I didn’t love it, I’d probably still rank it my top 10.

But what really irked me was the very unexpected new taste of KitKat, which has always been a go to. It was shocking. I had no idea this was going to be different and thought it would be the main course. I don’t know how to accurately describe it so here’s a link. Chemical-like is accurate.

Reeses PB cups are not creamy like when I was a kid. That's for sure. Don't eat a lot of candy bars though.

almond joy? for real? Well cool, now I know where to send all the almond joys from the fun size candy bar bag .😄
@Ice_Ice_Brady Thanks for the warning on butterfingers. I doubt I'll ever buy another one. they used to be 1 of my go to's, but that sounds like a change for the worse. I don't eat that much candy. my dessert weaknesses are cookies, brownies, cake, some pie,ice cream... well...pretty much everything else. 😄

I like Almond Joys but only a max of like 2. The sweetness wears out it’s welcome quickly.

Well, we’re going to try to do something about that with RFK in a couple of months. Hopefully, anyway. Nobody else in D.C. seems to care.

I’ve never seen a fake alpha tough guy bring his girlfriend to the gym to show off and him not ending up looking like an insecure bitch after 10 minutes.

@Ice_Ice_Brady if you want to look at a bag of poison, read what’s in Skittles. From Brave AI:

The highlighted word, “regulation,” was funny to me since those industries are obviously already highly regulated, and corrupt regulation has actually led to these toxins being in our food. You don’t need regulation. Just ban the poison and force those companies to act responsibly. Watch the obesity epidemic hit rock bottom here again after all the fatties die off from either a widowmaker or the Ozempic kills them. Maybe society will look like this again. I bet nobody in this video blamed their tHyRoId iSsUe. Because they ate actual food. Not this processed garbage most of America inhales.

Yeah it’s the RFK thing I thumbed down

I think the junior mints and KitKat.

Also, always liked 5th avenue but don't see them around these days.
Damn I forgot about them. I used to house those things when I worked in Walgreens when I was 16. I just Googled them and apparently they’re still being made by Hershey. I might grab one. It’s Fat Fuck SZN.

Highly recommend this show…all about Hershey, candy bars, fast food, Kellog’s. One of my favorite shows.

My issue with the baked confectionaries is they’re usually homemade, so I don’t know exactly what I’m getting for flavor, and also the unknown calorie count. Ben and Jerry’s (warning: MAGA trigger) makes a really good chocolate and brownie ice cream though.

I hate when iconic foods change their recipe. Like, I’m already overpaying for a candy bar, or a Whopper, so just tack on the extra $.05 and let me enjoy it and get the nostalgia. Nothing worse than paying all this money for a cheap replica of something that makes me joyful from my childhood.
