Gloves and Speedo Workout, Fitness & Nutrition Thread

I really hate the way juiced bodies look. Hate it. They’re all over the gym.

-Giant traps looks like an alien character from a movie, like wearing a bio backpack
-Shoulders disproportionately large and round
-Upper arms disproportionately large compared to brachialis and forearms
-Quads disproportionately large compared to calves
-Chest rounded and bubbly, like the fake boobs look on a woman

Why does anyone want this?
it's the same thing that compels people to buy truck nuts, certain dog breeds then abuse them to make them attack, etc. macho bs. most of us women "show off" in different ways:implants, etc.

i am still deciding what my goals are but obvi one is to ditch the spaghetti arms. lol
glad my place brought back bike bootcamp (20 min cycle/20 min strength). she goes 10 min bike 10 strength 10 bike 10 strength and that burns calories more efficiently than her old format (according to my tracker) of 20 min bike then 20 min strength.i usually go a little lighter weight wise in there because my body can't seem to tolerate 3 weights classes/week. either because i am not doing the reps correctly or the exercises themselves aren't good for me,not sure. trying to narrow it down by changing up some of what i do classwise.

Oversized bubble butts are an obvious defect, and a crime against nature, but huge numbers of women today are doing everything they can to achieve the look. and large numbers of men have fallen into love with that unhealthy, disgusting look. In the end, no matter how you pretty it up with language, it really all comes down to humans being vain, narcissistic, and stupid.
Don’t know what these women will do when this fad ends. I don’t think this is reversible.

I’ve mentioned this before but the glutes are the easiest muscle to build. Largest muscle in the body. Since I started lifting a year ago, I’ve been shocked at how quickly they’re grown, like 3x the speed of other muscles.

While I’m not a big fan of fake breasts, at least I acknowledge that women are born with what they have and some want to add some extra size there.

The bubble butt thing is just really strange to me. I see the BBLs often and I’ve never wanted to see one bare.

did snatches with 15s today...albeit on a 50-40-30 sec ladder so not a huge amount. but progress for me and my ugandan child arms. i don't view snatches as primarily an arm exercise but i wasn't even able to lift and hold 15s above my head until today.

I’ve been talking to this guy at my gym for almost a year. When he started, he looked like an average middle aged guy. We had started chatting casually and he was telling me about some fad diet he was doing with alkalines or some weird shit, and I told him it is all bullshit, he’s wasting his time, and that the only things that really matter are calories and protein.

Naturally, he pushed back at this and told me his nutritionist knows all this stuff, etc. I’d see him every month or so and reiterate that his latest diet is another scam and encouraged him to go to reddit/cico.

Now it’s a year later, this dude is fucking ripped. He thanked me today and showed me some photo shoot/ modeling he’s doing now. He said I was right all along and he couldn’t believe how simple it was and how much misinformation is out there. He said he bought a food scale and counts his calories as I encouraged him to do. Said he’s never been in great shape before and feels empowered because he realizes it’s all in his control. It’s all just science, or math.

Set a calorie goal. Count your calories. Set a protein goal. Count your protein. Creatine is helpful too. Everything else is basically either an exaggeration, misleading, or a money grab.

I keep coming back to taco salad as the GOAT meal for reasonable calories, high protein, tastes as good as any junk food. Even with a good amount of sour cream and cheese, if you eat this without a taco shell, it is shockingly macro friendly and even makes you feel both light and satisfied. Chicken is extremely favorable with protein / calories but lean ground beef is decent too.
