No disrespect to Elway, Marino, and Kelly...all of whom who could have easily played today and had lines of 5K passing yards and 50+ TDs these days...

But for example...Eason...with today's rules...maybe...just maybe he wouldn't have been shell shocked?

'83 produced two top 20 all time QBs, 3 HOF QBs, and 4 SB starters. I don't see anything like that, at all, with this year's group.

If he wants to coach again, making himself more relatable and accessible is a great way to start undercutting a bit of the negative parts of his reputation.

There should be plenty of viable defensive players for them to choose from, so it makes sense. If they go offense, though, that's a different story.
