Seriously wtf are the Cowboys going to do? They've waited on extending Dak, Lamb and they Parsons too. They could've done 1 or 2 of these way earlier but now that the market is set they are fucked.

They should move on from Prescott after this season, unless he gets them to the Super Bowl. They should keep Lamb and Parsons.

I agree, they may not have a choice.. Lamb is going to get at the very top if not top WR contract, Parsons too, Dak has to be looking at the 53-55 million per number (which he shouldn't get just like Tua).

wonder if they'll make a salary cap rule change at some point in future around the QB position

didn't the NBA implement the "Bird" rule to give teams some relief in keeping a legendary player

I think we are doomed. All this money is not sustainable. I don't want to pay Dakota record breaking money either

Owners need to stop with the panic signings of top players, especially at the QB position. There are very few veteran QBs you actually win because of (i.e. a Brady/Manning/Mahomes guy). Those are the only QBs you should break the bank for. The next layer (QBs you win with) are guys you pay if the price is reasonable, and the rest (QBs you win in spite of) should be getting either entry level or backup level pay.

For Prescott, 73-41 is a nice regular season record, but 2-5 in the playoffs is ugly.

The Cowboys’ window is going to close because of Dak. If you put Brady on that 2022 Cowboys squad, for example, they’re probably going all the way. Dak is good enough to get you to the dance, but not good enough to get you over the hump.
Not going to defend Dak, I agree with you guys, just adding that the coaching has been a problem too, and their "vaunted" D has let them down in the big moments.

Yeah and I know you're not defending Dak, but if you're getting paid that much money as the QB you should be able to overcome those type of things at least once.

They haven't made a Championship game since the 90s

That would have been a bad trade for Cleveland. Now, though, the Browns are going to have to deal with a WR1 who's probably going to be pissed off at the organization for trying to trade him.
Aiyuk probably just wants to go somewhere without state income taxes.

It seems as if he's trying to steer things to either one or two specific teams (Washington for the QB would seem to be his preference based upon his early tweeting during the offseason).
