NFL Breaking News Jerod Mayo fired

Relevant Breaking News
I hope that "as of now" is a real indicator that Wolf might still be gone. They need to either have a GM search, or hire a coach who has his choice of GM in mind.
I really hope that if it's Vrabel, he would get real power over the organization, not necessarily GM, but I would hope he's involved in that decision so that there's symmetry on talent acquisition

Does it seem weird to anybody else as it does to me that he mentioned that whole thing about all these other teams supposedly wanting mayo as head coach? (which I think is a bunch of bullshit honestly )I think that Mayo was just a Rooney rule interview for a bunch of teams. I don't think too many teams would hire someone who had been coaching linebackers for 4 years and had no other coaching experience whatsoever as their head coach. oh wait one team did.

I do remember seeing just a little smirky type smile from Mayo as the clock wound down to 0 and I thought it was a little bit strange. I wonder if he was deliberately trying to screw up the draft pick knowing what was going to happen to him?

They just showed this moment on the Redzone, tough to tell because his face is so fucking stupid but I kinda think it was a "I wonder if I just got myself fired" smirk.

...Mayo made a myriad of perplexing decisions both from the sideline and the podium throughout his brief stint at the helm of the franchise — the Patriots announced his firing following their regular-season finale Sunday against the Bills.

The sentiment about Mayo’s blunder from those around the league was similar: He couldn’t stop getting in his own way.

“As coaches and execs around the league observed Jerod Mayo and the Patriots this season, they continuously pointed out how many self-inflicted, unnecessary and avoidable mistakes they made both on and off the field,” The Athletic’s Jeff Howe wrote on the X platform...

wolf is staying so ...him.
He needs to go, too. Sorry. You can’t survive those two misses in such a receiver-heavy draft. Kraft needs to do what a smart businessman should when your product hits rock bottom - clean house, tear this thing down to the nuts and bolts, and start fresh.

I’d personally prefer Vrabel because he’s the proven HC. I can’t get angry over Ben Johnson if he brings Dorsey with him. You’ll immediately get an idea of how bad our drafts have been if Dorsey takes the helm. That dude is the best in the game right now.

All y'all people who are so hot for Ben Johnson: would it make you feel better or worse if you knew that Ben Johnson was hired by Matt Patricia in Detroit?

What a glorious day. Well, apart from that moron DEI hire screwing the organization out of the 1st overall pick.

kraft was so concerned with Mayo leaving because he had all these head coach interviews that he just had to designate mayo as head coach in waiting with the Patriots when mayo signed his extension. So we won't worry about Mayo. I'm sure he'll become a head coach at 1 of those other places right away.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dude looks like an amateur boxing trainer

The Ben Johnson hype reminds me of Adam Gase and Josh McDaniels.

id fire covington too

defense went from one of best in league to total dogshit in 1 year under him

hire either vrabel or ben johnson and let them bring in their own coaching staff..

bills fans seem to be concerned with us getting ben johnson to pair with maye and are ecstatic that either he or vrabel wont have the #1 overall pick to work with

fuck jerod mayo.. i gotta change my forum name

I love Troy Brown, but we need a real WR coach.. EDIT, I guess it's Tyler Hughes now.

Brown is skills development

Tyler Hughes and his insult-to-our-intelligence ass-istant Kid 'n Play both MUST FUCKING GO if they haven't already.
